   Posted May 12, 2009

(Monrovia-Liberia): My 10, 2009 – President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf  returned to Liberia Sunday morning, after securing re-commitment by American millionaire and philanthropist, Mr. David Straz to provide financing to complete construction work on the Sinje Technical College in Grand Cape Mount County. The completion of the project is estimated to cost more than US $1-million dollars.

According to an Executive Mansion release, the decision to provide financing for the project was part of an understanding reached between the Liberian President and Mr. Straz in return for honoring an invitation to address this year’s commencement convocation of the University of Tampa, in Florida, the United States. The American millionaire is a trustee of the University of Tampa and provides strong support for the institute.
